BONDS IN HYPERMODERNITY: UNIVERSITY EDUCATION ON THE COUNTRY’S WEST COAST
Abstract
This article reflects on the relational dynamics of university students in Uruguay’s West coast and the role of teaching interventions in Psychology, within a constantly changing university context. Hypermodernity is used as a framework for analysis. Through photolanguage, it is observed that young people face challenges in accelerated, technological macro-historical environments marked by pressure for efficiency and immediate satisfaction. At the institutional and psycho-symbolic level, students express loneliness, a lack of role models, emotional overwhelm, and a persistent search for human connection.
