PSYCHOANALYSIS AND FOOTBALL: APPROACHING A SPECIALIZED CULTURAL EXPERIENCE IN URUGUAY

Abstract

This article explores the intersection between psychoanalysis and football, given the unique cultural relevance of this sport in Uruguay, which invites research from various disciplines. Through psychoanalysis, historical anecdotes are examined, and the game is differentiated from the competitive experience. Furthermore, the subjective dynamics generated by this practice are analyzed from a developmental perspective up to the moment of retirement from the sport.
